Pre Inspection Assessment:
Anderson Business Development conducted a pre inspection assessment for Clyde Valley Housing Association in September 2009. The process, to prepare Clyde Valley for a regulatory inspection, included a review of the organisation's self assessment, on site testing of policies and processes, engagement with Board members, staff and customers. The Association received a full report and grade within one week of the on-site inspection and Anderson Business Development facilitated Directors' and Managers' early consideration of improvement plans.
Organisational Review:
Clyde Valley Group (CVG) commissioned Anderson Business Development in January 2010 to undertake an organisational review in order to ensure that the Group's structure was fit for the purpose of delivering the Group's strategy. The brief also required that the review take cognisance of efficiency, customer focus and job enrichment. Every member of the organisation's staff was involved in the review, along with consultation with the Trade Union. The review resulted in the closer integration of customer focussed services, alignment of capital work and asset management and further development of corporate support as well as the introduction of new specialisms to support the delivery of the organisation's strategy. The commission was completed in March 2010.
Anderson Business Development's first commission could have proved challenging for us both for a number of reasons, but mainly due to the fact that Karen was my predessor here at Clyde Valley. I needn't have worried however because, Karen's approach was business like, honest and nothing but supportive.
The commission was a Pre Inspection Assessment and the result was an exceptionally positive experience for staff, Board and customers alike. Thanks to Anderson Business Development, what we now have is a clear understanding of where we excel and where we need to improve as a business and Karen's contributing style was invaluable in achieving that result.
I now look forward to seeing Karen back here next year to see how we have lived up to the action plans she has helped this business develop.
